North American Falconers Association – NAFA

The sport of falconry is an ancient sport that has spanned centuries from Europe and the Middle East. It is only recently, within the past 60 years, or so that falconry has been widely practiced in the United States. With the evoloution of modern falconry in the United States along with the regulations provided for by the US Department of Fish and Game, the study of falconry has grown from a scattered group of conservation enthusiasts, to a nation-wide Conservation Effort. The North American Falconers’ Association has been actively supporting the sport of falconry for over 50 years. First organized by Hal Webster and Frank Lyman Beebe in 1961, the North American Falconers Association has become the cornerstone advocacy group for falconers across the nation.

1. Learn what others are doing.
2. Read great articles.
3. Understand the politics of falconry.

With an annual membership, you get two great publications, as well as access to resources in the NAFA community that can be of great service in your aspirations to become a falconer.
